Update: Saw about 20 minutes of the show on MTV on 11/30 ... A much more impressive show than any of the American MTV award shows that I can remember ... very cool use of video screens throughout the theatre. But ... the coolest moment was from Travis, a band I have no history with ... and their song The Beautiful Occupation, a semi-anti-war rant that might stand up on its own as a song. Which is tough to do (see: Lenny Kravitz and Zach de la Roche before the Iraqi war).
