it's blog about the beer (Souvenir v. Yard of Beer)
The following is a public service announcement ...

When drinking at Jacob's Field -- pass on the "yard of beer"
Yes, drinking beer in a tube that looks like a CSI prop can be exciting, but it's not intelligent.
Tom and I gave science a spin Sunday as we compared the quantity of beer in the "yard of beer" to the typical souvenir cup. The final analysis?
The $9 "yard of beer" has the same amount of miller lite as the $5.50 souvenir cup.
That's $3.50 for a plastic beaker that you won't be reusing as your breakfast cup.
... this ends the public service announcement about beer.
