Battlestar Galactica, 2003-2009
The best show on TV is over. And, apparently, it’s up to us humans to make sure it happens again. Robot rebellion, here we come.
Despite a finale that was similar to The Matrix Revolutions (A battle that can’t be won, featuring an onslaught of machines, that somehow ends in a stalemate.) and had its fair share of “What?” moments, Battlestar Galactica ended with an entertaining episode. But, I drank the Kool Aid along time ago. There are many valid arguments why the ending of the show stunk here. The best “What the frak?” moment, of course, being that they just gave up all their technology. I’d last about a week — max — in this ‘Cast Away’ scenario.
I’ll miss my Cylon fix every Friday night. Thanks for the good run, BSG.
My favorite episodes … and places to get into the fray if you’ve never watched:
- Miniseries
- The Hand of God (Season 1, episode 10)
- Kobol’s Last Gleaming (Season 1 finale)
- Resurrection Ship (Season 2, episodes 11, 12)
- Exodus (Season 3, episodes 3, 4)
- Crossroads (Season 3, episodes 19, 20)
- Blood on the Scales (Season 4, Episode 16)
Details on all of the episodes.
